Made from 100% Spectra Fiber, this backing is about 1/2 the diameter of dacron. It is a round weave material that does not stretch nor absorb water and is incredibly durable. If you need additional capacity, or just want to put on a tom of backing, this might be the ticket! The 30 lb is proximately the same diameter as 8 lb mono The 50 lb is .36 mm or same diameter as 12 lb mono We stock bulk spools and sell it by the Yd. by spooling it on to recycled fly line spools.
